Mark Reynolds

Manager/ Funeral Director/ Embalmer

Mark serves as Funeral Director and Embalmer at both Stephenville Funeral Home and Higginbotham Gorman Funeral Home.

Mark was raised in west Texas and moved to Stephenville to attend Tarleton State University. He graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 2000 and has worked at Funeral Homes in DeLeon and Stephenville.

Mark and his wife Kim reside in Stephenville, they have three children, and three grandchildren.

David Tomlinson

Funeral Director & Embalmer

David serves families at the funeral home as a Funeral Director. After his brother, Billy, retired in December 2011, David was named manager of Stephenville Funeral Home in January 2012. David has been with Stephenville Funeral Home since 1973.


David was born in Dublin and graduated from Stephenville High School in 1971. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1975. David is very active in the community and his church. He is a member of the Tarleton State University Athletics Texan Club Board of Directors, Stephenville Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, and Stephenville Optimist Club. David was honored by Tarleton State University on June 1, 2013, receiving Hall of Fame honors from TSU Athletics for his continued support for athletic programs.


He is married to the former Margaret Burgan of Duffau. They have a daughter, Kristi, and son, Clint. They also have four granddaughters, Elizabeth, Abigayle, Rachel, and Lucy, and a grandson, Benjamin. David and his family are members of the Graham Street Church of Christ.

Oscar Aparicio

Funeral Director & Embalmer

Oscar serves as Funeral Director and Embalmer. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1996 but has been in Erath County since 1994.


Oscar has been serving families and doing the best job he can to make things easier for those he helps since 1997. He now resides in Morgan Mill, where he has been for over twenty years. He has been married to Gwen Aparicio for over 30 years.


Oscar is a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of the Lion’s Club as a board member, as well as a Master Mason at Stephenville Masonic Lodge #267. Oscar is also a firefighter for the heroic Morgan Mill Volunteer Fire Department.

Jessica Santibanez

Administrative Assistant

Jessica graduated High School from Gustine and went on to get her cosmetology license that she still holds today. She moved to Gorman in 2017. She used to work in the banking industry and then joined the Higginbotham Funeral Home team in 2022 and now works at both Gorman and Stephenville Funeral home hoping to be a blessing to all those she encounters.

Robert Ervin

Funeral Attendant/ Maintenance

Robert was born and raised in Gorman, Texas. He worked for the phone company for 30 years before retiring in 2012. He served as the mayor of Gorman for 20 years. He has been working with Higginbotham Funeral Home since the early 2000's. Robert and his wife, Kathey, have been married for 52 years. They have one son, Robert Verl, two grandchildren, Candice and Jacob, and six great-grandchildren. Robert wears many hats when it comes to the funeral home, he takes care of anything that is asked of him as well as working during almost all services. Robert even helped build Higginbotham Funeral Home as well as several other houses around town.

Verganna Halbrook

Funeral Attendant

Verganna was born and raised in Ranger, Texas. She worked in banking for 30 years before retiring. She has been working with Higginbotham Funeral Home since October of 2021. Verganna has been married to Don for 53 years. Together, they have one son, Brandon, and four grandchildren. Verganna and her husband are very active in their church, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church in De Leon, Texas.

Brady Huerta

Funeral Attendant

Brady is currently enrolled at the Commonwealth Institue for Funeral Services. He enjoys working funeral services and helps out in any way he can. He is very eager to learn the funeral business. He has been with the company since September 2022.
