Monty Nolan Faulk, 75, passed away at his home outside of Cisco, Texas, on September 18, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born on November 4, 1948, in Quanah, Texas, to J.C. and Margie (Redwine) Faulk. After completing high school, he went on to serve our country in the United States Navy, bravely fighting in Vietnam. On August 4, 1972, he married the love of his life, Verna Faye Hankins, in Dallas, Texas. They did everything together and supported each other every day of their lives together. In 1993 they moved their family to Eastland County where they have resided since. Monty was a quiet man, but when he had something to say, you listened. He was full of life and one of the humblest people, never wanting anything to be about him. He was an extremely hard worker and built up his own trucking company that he owned and personally operated up until just recently.
Monty is survived by his sweetheart, Faye Faulk, his son, Steven Faulk, his daughter, Dena Scitern Simmel, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers.
Monty is preceded in death by both of his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Simpson Cemetery.
