William Alan Lynch

February 3, 1958 — February 24, 2026

William Alan Lynch passed away on February 24, 2026, in Arlington, Texas. He was born to the late Bill and Wilma Ingram Lynch on February 3, 1958 in Denton, Texas.

Alan attended trade school after graduating from Denton High School in 1976. He then chose to get to work as a masonry and helped build several tall buildings in the Dallas, TX area. Later in life an opportunity came available where he became the owner of Alan’s AC in Denton, TX, for over 20 years. He retired in 2014 to move to Eastland, TX and start enjoying the things he loved the most: Family - Friends & Fishing. He was always very talented with his hands and building things. He loved making his wooden bowls and worked on them daily. He also loved playing pool. He participated in the National BCA Tournament several years with his team “Lucky Strokes" with his wife. He loved to camp and most of all fish. He took monthly trips with his father-in-law, James Norris, and his wife, Jana, along with other family and friends making amazing memories. There were always lots of laughs that will never be forgotten. While in Denton, Alan enjoyed playing dominoes and cards with his buddies at the Elks Lodge. Playing hand and foot at his mother-in-law's, Jo Norris, and dominoes at his parent's house were some of the best memories. He loved to work but loved making memories more. Traveling and spending time with the ones he loved meant the world to him. Supporting athletes from the Eastland area (Gorman Panthers - Lady Panthers & Eastland Mavs & Lady Mavs) was another highlight, even if he did get into fights in the parking lot later. Since 2024, he loved waking up and being a part of the LYA family by drinking coffee and watching the sunrise with his wife and her online family. Spending time with the ones you love the most is what he wants us to all continue. Live like today is the last because tomorrow is not guaranteed!

He officially met the love of his life, Jana Norris, on October 13, 1996. They became one on October 11, 1998.

Alan is survived by his wife, Jana Lynch, two sons, Sean Lynch and his wife Stesha, and Cody Lynch and his wife, Paige, and one granddaughter, Presley. Alan had two sisters and one living brother, Mauria Banducci and her husband Dan, and Rhonda Reames and her husband Dennis, and brother, Jason Lynch. Father-in-law & mother-in-law, James and Johnnie Norris, one sister-in-law Jodi Zavala and husband Johnny, and one brother-in-law Jason Norris. Several nieces and nephews, and great niece and nephews, and cousins.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Wilma Lynch, and one brother, Robert Baxton Lynch, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
