Wilda Marie (Carter) Swanner

Wilda Marie Swanner age 82, of Gorman, Texas went to her Heavenly home on October 25, 2022. She was born on March 22, 1940 in Gorman to Otho and Marma Nell Carter. She married CW Swanner on June 24, 1957. Together they had three children, Susan, Tim and Mark. She was a natural born caregiver and chose nursing as a career. During her career she lovingly cared for patients from newborn to geriatric. She worked obstetrics, surgery, and general nursing. She served as a director of nursing at both Gorman and Ranger nursing homes. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, of 65 years, CW. She will also be dearly missed by her daughter, Susan Hogan and husband Eddy of Gorman, sons Tim Swanner and wife Becky of Gorman, and Mark Swanner and wife Wendy of Pikeville, Kentucky; four grandchildren Miranda Hogan, Kendra Wright and husband Ryan, Tyson Swanner and wife Jaime, Alaina Hetrick and husband Zachery; nine great grandchildren Jarod Hagood, Sadie Allen, Alyssa Allred, Cannon, Cash and Quinn Wright. Kase, Kynlee and Knox Swanner. One great-great grandson Cooper Murphy. Wilda was preceded in death by her parents Otho and Marma Nell Carter and brother Dwight Carter. Service Details.
