Vicki Lynn (Trout) Seay

Vicki Lynn Trout Seay age 74, of Gorman passed away October 4, 2022. She was born June 2, 1948 in Ranger, Texas to Lester Olen and Maybelle (Swinson) Trout. She attended schools in several locations as her dad was transferred with Lone Star Gas Co. She graduated from Eastland High School in 1966. She then attended Cisco Junior College and graduated with a BA degree in business. Vicki became employed at Texas Electric Service Co where she worked for nearly 25 years in customer operations. She then worked at the Eastland Co Appraisal District until the time she and her husband bought Ranger Auction Co. She then worked as a municipal judge for the City of Gorman for several years. In 1968 she met her husband, Thomas Roy Seay. They were married on April 19, 1968 at Mangum Baptist Church. They lived in Eastland for several years then moved to Gorman. On October 10, 1979, their son, Tommy Lyn Seay was born. What a joy he was to them. As he grew and became involved in 4-H, Vicki was always there and willing to help him in anyway. A son could not have made a mother happier than Tommy did. Vicki accepted Christ as her Savior at a revival at Mangum Baptist Church. That was the best decision she made as Christ was by her side through all of the ups and down of her life. Through a car wreck and battling cancer, she always knew Christ was there for her. She tried to be a light for others through him. There are few words how Vicki felt for her grandchildren except LOVE. Audie Lynn and Dallie Lace brought so much joy to Granny Vicki. She delighted in watching them grow, and was proud of them for all of their accomplishments. A simple hug from them made her day. Vicki was a member of the Kokomo Baptist Church. The church family was very special to her. Vicki's wish was that everyone come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. She is survived by her son Tommy and wife Julie; two sisters Wendy Porter, Melody Barr; one brother Joe Trout; grandchildren Audie Seay, Dallie Seay and numerous nieces and nephews. Vicki is preceded in death by her parents Lester and Maybelle Trout and husband Thomas Roy Seay Service Details.
