Tommy Eaves

Tommy Eaves, born August 7, 1936 in Gorman, Texas passed peacefully on August 9, 2026 in Eastland, Texas, two days after his 90th birthday.

Tommy was a devout family man. He enjoyed nothing more than family functions, making it a priority to show up for the ones he loved.

He was raised in Kokomo, and went on to join the Army in 1959, but Tommy finally settled in Carbon, where he tended to his farm. He found peace and purpose in working the land, his soul rooted in the earth. He loved his cows and he loved being a farmer, putting meaning to simple, honest hard work.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Ruby Esther Eaves; brothers Bill, Wayne, Tidy Fayne, and baby boy Eaves; sisters, Barbara Lenz, Lena Hawkins, and Mary Webb.

He is survived by sister Linda Lorance and husband David, brother-in-law Tommy Max Webb, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Tommy Eaves will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 14, 2026 at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Gorman, Texas. Visitation will be one hour prior to. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery in Kokomo, Texas.
