Sandra Sue (West) Osborne

Sandra Sue (West) Osborne, 80, of Gorman, TX passed away, Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Sandra was born on July 29, 1940 in Goree, TX to John H. West and Irene (Little) West, she was raised in Gorman, TX, upon her family moving there when she was 7 years old. She attended Gorman schools, from second-grade through high school, where she played guard for the high school girls basketball team and was a cheerleader. Sandra married Philip Osborne on February 12, 1959 at First Baptist Church in Gorman, TX. Sandra was a longtime employee of Gorman ISD, she was a bus driver for over 25 years, she also served as a substitute teacher and worked in the cafetiera for several years before her retirement. Sandra was an active member of the Gorman Chapter #443 of the Order of the Eastern Star (OES). Sandra served as a 4-H Leader for over 30 years for local and county 4-H youth programs. Sandra was dedicated to serving her family and community as shown by the service and leadership roles she took on throughout the years. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Gorman. Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Philip Osborne, and her parents John and Irene West. Sandra is survived by her siblings, Peggy Brooks of Hutto, TX, Johnnie Barnett of Stephenville, TX, and David and Kathy West of Chino Valley, AZ. Her children: Kathi and Joe Williams of Gorman, TX, Phil Osborne of Navasota, TX, Sue Ann and Billy Wiley of San Saba, TX, Johnnie Osborne of Navasota, TX and Pam and Carl Hannemann of Waco, TX. Her Grandchildren: Dusty and Cheyenne Wiley of Corpus Christi, TX, Willie and Amy Wiley of China Spring, TX, McKenzie Osborne of Gorman, TX, Johnathan Osborne of Navasota, TX and Matthew Osborne of Navasota, TX. Her great-grandchildren: Ryder Wiley, Colt Wiley and Emory Wiley. Service Details.
