Ramiro Guzman Galindo

Ramiro Guzman Galindo passed away too soon at the age of 70, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loved ones on August 11, 2026. He was born on July 9, 1956, in Durango, Mexico, to Ignacio Guzman and Maria Galindo. He came to Gorman, Texas, forty years ago and made this town his home.

Ramiro was a naturally intelligent man. He was an extremely hard worker. He was also very responsible; he never passed off a day of work no matter how wild the previous night might have gotten. He worked for Birdsong Peanuts for 30 years, then went on to work for Birdsong & Everton before he worked for the Wilks; he genuinely loved his job.

Ramiro was truly the glue that held his family together, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He married the love of his life, Maria Bañuelos, on January 24, 1981, in Mexico, and did not hesitate to start making a family with her right away.

Ramiro is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Guzman Bañuelos, his children; Jose Luis Guzman and his wife, Maricela, Ramiro Guzman and his wife, Sara, Maria Daena Guzman, Daniel Guzman and his wife, Bibiana, Mayra Gonzalez and her husband, Efren, and Christina Ramos, his grandchildren; Ramiro III and Jailyn, Eduardo, Ceidy, Emma, Bruno, Joaquin, Lucas, Madelyn, and Tanya, one great-grandchild, Ezequiel, he also leaves behind two sisters; Amparo, and Maria, one brother; Leopoldo, his brother-in-law; Rafael Bañuelos, his nephew; Manuel and his wife, Veronica, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends including Jesus De La Cruz, Don Thomas, Daniela, and Alexa.

Ramiro is preceded by both of his parents and his siblings; Carmelo, Francisco, Salvador, Carmela, and Amalia, and his friends; Ismael Herrera, Enrique Sanchez.

The family will receive loved ones at a visitation on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 6- 9 PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home with a Vigil Rosary at 7 PM. A funeral service will be held in Ramiro’s honor on Saturday at 11:30 AM at Higginbotham Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Gorman, Texas.
