Pamela Kay Grimes passed away on December 14, 2024, at 68 years of age. She was surrounded by loved ones as she departed this world.
Pam was born on July 10, 1956, in Baytown, TX., to Dewey Dalton and Virginia Sue Keesee. She loved most of her adult life in Gorman, TX. She was a kind, caring, and giving person. She loved all animals, especially her pets.
Pam is preceded in death by her father.
Pam is survived by her husband of 38 years, Billy Ray Grimes Jr., her mother, Virginia Sue Keesee, her sisters, Melinda Abbe and Trina Walton, 3 daughters, Christina and her husband Jeff Trice, Shanna and her husband Jay Swain, and Melissa and her husband Russell Spruill. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Blake Trice, Katelyn Trice, Kirbi Belson, Samantha Shiann, Aaron Bayer, Xander Bayer, Justin Backer (Ju Bug) and Billy Backer (Little Billy), 10 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Banjo.
Pam had looked forward to being reunited with her father and other loved ones that had passed on before, as those survived by her now also have that same Hope. A favorite Bible verse of Pam's was Luke 12:7 which says "Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." The context of this passage was referring to the cheap and inconsequential status of the sparrow, yet God has forgotten none of them; so how much more has He remembered those who were created by Him for His purpose.
A welcoming reunion in the presence of God, through the saving power of Jesus Christ is something worth looking forward to for all of us. Celebrate Pam's Home-going and take comfort in knowing the same welcome awaits all those who have claimed Jesus as Lord and Savior.
