Omer "Jr" Hogan Jr.

Omer Hogan Jr. of Carbon formerly of Cisco, Eastland and Ft. Worth. First of 6 children born of parents Omer Franklin and Ina Lee Ghormley, Hogan March 30, 1924. He left this world on October 9, 2019 at the age of 95 with his family by his side. He was married to Geraldine Hunt and they were married 47 years before she proceeded him in death in 1990. "JR" was a WWII veteran that served in the United States Army. He drove a jeep for a General in Oklahoma. He prided himself as a True American Patriot. He was a mechanic by trade. He also liked to travel and collect many things. He is survived by his special baby dog Chiquita and children: Wayne Hogan of Carbon, TX; Cecil Hogan and wife Judy of the Houston Area; Brenda Rippy of Fort Worth, TX; Gene Hogan and wife Enid of Melissa, Tx; Donna and husband Curtis Prince of Crowley, TX; and sister Nelda McDaniel Keith and husband, special friend Earnest of Carbon, TX. Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. Proceeded in death by his parents, Brothers: Billie Hogan and Lawrence Hogan. Sisters: Ruedean Wolfington; and Retha Hines Parker. JR will be laid to rest next to his wife Gerry in a private service at a later date. A memorial gathering is planned for October 26, 2019 at the Carbon Community Center at 1 PM. Service Details.
