We are celebrating the life of Nancy Zucco, born January 17, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas. Passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 73 years old.
Nancy grew up on the North side of Fort Worth; she graduated from Northside High School. She worked at the Mott's five and dime in Fort Worth while going to high school. After she graduated, she worked Continental Telephone in Euless Texas. In 1974 she bought her first new car, it was a 1974 Camaro; she still has it. Some years later she moved to Weatherford, Texas, with her husband and worked installing countertops in new homes. Later in the 80’s she worked at TXI Sand Pit weighing the trucks before they left the pit. She loved that job. During that time, she built her own house. She taught herself how to build the floor, framing, drywall and roofing she was unstoppable. After working at TXI throughout the 80’s, and later in the 90’s, she started cleaning pools in Weatherford. She did that until 2013 when she retired.
Nancy loved working outdoors. Throughout her life, she was taking in stray pets of all kinds, caring for them, loving and keeping them for the entirety of their lives. She was always willing to help people no matter what it was. She loved life and lived it to its fullest. She was a loving soul and will be missed by many. She is survived by a sister, a brother, and countless nieces and nephews.
Nancy was laid to rest by her mother, Avo Smith Brown in the Gorman Cemetery, Gorman, Texas, on Friday, August 7, 2026.
