Marceil Laminack

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Marceil Laminack, 86, passed away in the comfort of her own home, in Gorman, surrounded by her loved ones on July 1, 2026. She was born on February 4, 1940, in Sipe Springs, Texas, to R.V. and Dolse (Zellars) Underwood. She graduated from Carbon High School, but before she went on to do anything else, she married her best friend and the love of her life, Donald Wayne Laminack on September 27, 1957, at the Gorman Church of Christ.

Marceil was far from being idle, she worked for the post office as a carrier, she taught the young children at church, she was a Mary Kay beauty consultant since 1992, and she was a gardener, but the most rewarding job for her was being a wife and a mother.

Marceil will be deeply missed by her husband, Don, her sons, Randall Laminack of Gorman, Revise Laminack and his wife Becky of Gorman, and Noble Laminack and his wife Heather of San Angelo, her beloved seven grandchildren; Chris, Justin, Mindy, Ashley, Lindsey, Nolan, and Reagan, her prized nine great-grandchildren, and her very impressive six great great-grandchildren, her sister, Kathy Ann Owen and her husband, Norman of Eastland, and her brother, Reggie Verl Underwood and his wife Pam of Waxahachie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marceil is preceded in death by both of her parents.

A funeral service will be held in Marceil’s honor on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 2:00PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home, Gorman, Texas, followed by an interment at Simpson Cemetery, Kokomo, Texas.
