Lavon Snider

LaVon Snider, age 86, of Gorman passed away February 27, 2021 at the Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. LaVon was born October 1, 1934 in Gorman to C.L. "Pete" Snider and Hazel Lucille (Jumper) Snider. LaVon was a librarian at the Howard Payne Library for 45 years. She was also a member of the Kokomo Baptist Church. LaVon is survived by her three brothers: Gene Snider and wife, Kay of Gorman, Dwayne Snider and wife, Connie of Stephenville, Danny Snider and wife, Dianne of Gorman, sister-in-law Charlotte Snider of Ranger. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Jamie and Stephanie Snider, Susan and Clay Wheat, Kathy and Dale Collum, Mike and Crystal Snider, Sheri and Brandon LaBonte, Lisa Snider, Justin Snider, and Belinda Segura. Great nieces and nephews: Kael, Craig and Gari Sue, Matthew, Anna, and Andrew Snider; McKinsey and C.J. Page, Caitlin Wheat, Kyann and Colton Cook; Karina and Jeffrey Newton, Karle Snider, Declan James Scott, Scott and Samantha Collum, Matt Collum, Rachel and Michelle Snider; Maxwell and Alexander LaBonte; Nico and Zahra Snider; Audri, Isaac, Ella, Belle Segura and Angelica Ramirez. Great-great nieces and nephews: Oakley and Adley Page; Evangeline, Teddy, and Shea Cook; Colin, J.J., and Theron Kelley; and Iris Newton. She is preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Bobbie and Ted Snider; nephew, Toby Snider; niece, Sandra Snider and great-great nephew, Aiden Newton. Service Details.
