Katha Rlee Mcdaniel

Katha RLee Lovell McDaniel, age 96 passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017. She was born July 24, 1920 to parents John Wallace Lovell and Edna Earl (Greenwood) Lovell in Eastland County. She graduated from Carbon High School in 1938. She married James Elmer "Short" Mc Daniel on August 17, 1942. They had two sons, James Duane and Wallace Earl McDaniel. She had been a faithful member of the 1st Baptist Church of Carbon since 1936. She was a devoted housewife and loving mother who worked for Shell Peanuts and later for Eastland and Ranger cattle auctions. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Duane and two great granddaughters. She is survived by her son Wallace and wife, Paula of Clyde, TX, three granddaughters, one grandson and seven great grandchildren. Service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 27, 2016 at the Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Gorman with R. D. Childers officiating. Burial will be in Murray Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Visitation
