Johnnie Carl Mcdaniel

February 28, 1948 — August 6, 2022

Johnnie Carl (AKA J.C.) longtime math professor at Cisco Junior College passed away August 6, 2022 at the Woodland Assisted Living facility in Eastland. J.C. was borne to JL and Mary McDaniel February 28, 1948 in Freeport, Texas. At a young age his parents moved to Carbon, Texas where J.C. was a longtime resident. J.C. received his master's degree in math from Texas A&M University. He immediately went to work at Cisco Junior College teaching in the math department and continued to teach there for 47 years. J.C. was instrumental in helping area rural residents get city water by his service on the Westbound Water board. In his spare time, J.C. did various researches but one could not know J.C. without hearing him impart his love of trains. J.C. had a special compassion for animals. J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kenneth McDaniel, his sister Lynn McDaniel and his nephew Kelly Webb. He is survived by sisters Betty Joyner of Austin, and Jenett Pierce of Aledo; nephews Chris Webb of Waller, Daniel Webb of Cresson, Jeremy Joyner of Austin and Travis Joyner of Austin.
