Joan Butler 92, of Gorman, TX passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Eastland Hospital in Eastland, TX. Joan Day was born to Charlie and Hattie Day in Sweetwater, TX on October 20, 1927. She married Arnold Butler on May 4, 1943. They had 3 children Brenda, Anna Lee, and Kenneth. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Along with working on the farm with her husband, she also was employed by Birdsong Peanuts, Quickway Grocery, and Bob's Grocery at different times through the years. Her greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Butler of Houston, a daughter, Anna Lee Roberts of Gorman, and a brother, Billy Frank Day of Dallas. Grandchildren, Kevin and wife Debbie Hirst of San Antonio, Marie Butler of Houston, Rhett and wife Shazia Butler of Houston, Levi Roberts of Gorman, Kendra Roberts of Gorman. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arnold Butler, daughter Brenda Hirst, and sister Janice Burnes. Service Details.
