Freddie Clark Rodgers, 87, passed away on November 11, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on September 11, 1938, in Gorman, Texas, to Fred W. and Murtice Chlodell (Simpson) Rodgers. Upon finishing high school, he married the love of his life, Kay Miller on July 28, 1962. He worked for many years for TXU energy before retiring.

Freddie is survived by his wife, Kay, his daughter, Laura Gibbs and her husband Howard, his grandchildren, Emily Hancock and Austin, Joshua Gibbs and Lauren, and Jacob Gibbs and Audrey, as well as great-grandchildren, Wesley Gibbs and Preston Gibbs, and his sister Lavenia Echols and his brother Joe Bob Rodgers.

Freddie is preceded in death by both of his parents and his sister Alice Varner.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Higginbotham Funeral Home, Gorman, Texas. A Visitation will be on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 P.M.
