Donald Wayne Sherrod

Donald Wayne Sherrod, age 79, of Gorman passed away January 24, 2021 at the Eastland Memorial Hospital. Donald was born December 1, 1941 in Prosper Texas to Joe Egglestion Sherrod and Jessie Era (Carr) Sherrod. He married the love of his life Linda Whitlock on February 11, 1988 in Roanoke Texas. Together they had two sons and two daughters and he had one step son. Donald enjoyed fishing, working on old cars, and watching football and boxing. Donald is survived by his wife, Linda Sherrod of Gorman; two sons, Cody Sherrod of Sidney, David Sherrod of Dimmitt; two daughters, Dixie Bryan of Gorman, Lynette Kohl of Austin; one step son, Kevin Snider of Gorman; two brothers, Bill Sherrod of Zephyr, Jack Sherrod of Amarillo; one sister, Linda Gatlin of Ennis; eleven grandchildren, four adopted grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, four brothers and two grandsons, Luke and Lane. A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery on Wednesday January 27, 2021 at 2 pm with Denver Rainey Officiating. Service Details.
