Charles Milam Morgan

Charles Milam Morgan, Age 81, went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 30, 2019, at his home in Rising Star Texas. He was born on a ranch south of Carbon TX on April 30, 1938 to WM "Mike" and Era Lois(McClesky) Morgan. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1956 and then attended Ranger Jr College. He was a retired Cattle Rancher and Carpenter and built many houses and cabinets in Eastland and surrounding counties. His hobby was building furniture and woodworking and making arrowheads. He was also a talented artist and loved to paint. He was a man of many talents and as he always said God blessed him being good with his hands. He was survived by his wife Maxine Morgan of Rising Star, married May 21, 1959. His son Marty Morgan and his wife Cindy of Celina: their Daughters MaryLou, Dawn and husband Chad of Van Alstyne, Amanda and husband Cody of Ft Worth-Three great Grandkids Lillie, Owen and Conner. Daughter Marla Paulk and her husband Andy of Carbon: their daughter Andrea and husband Kieth of Temple and son Austin and wife Sarah of Warland WY. Son Marc Morgan and his wife Jo Jo of Cross Plains: their daughters Katie Jo and Kiley. And Shy his faithful Blue Heeler dog who went everywhere with him and never left his side, even unto death. A visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, January 3 from 6-8pm at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Gorman Texas. No other services are planned by request of deceased. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you please make donations to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center in Abilene. Service Details. Visitation When: Friday, January 3rd, 2020 6:00pm - 8:00pm
