Charles Victor Mauney

Charles Victor Mauney, age 84, of Weatherford passed away on February 26, 2019. Charles was born on December 25, 1934 in Comanche County, Texas to Sullivan Mauney and wife Ina Malone. Charles was in the Navy for over 20 years and was even in Vietnam. He married Takako Tokita while overseas in Tokyo, Japan on December 19, 1954. They were married until her death on October 13, 2003. After Charles retired from the navy he worked as a High School Janitor and he was a merchant Marine. Charles is survived by three sisters: Ima Jean Park of Springtown, Texas; Georgie Hutson of Weatherford, Texas; and Wanda Hobbs of Eastland, Texas. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Takako Mauney, his sister Dorothy Asup, his brother Doyle Mauney, and his parents.
