Bonita Nell Moorman

Bonita Moorman, 87, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away in Austin, Texas on August 1, 2019. Bonita was born in Martin's Mill, Texas on August 19, 1931 to Melba and Cleo Boyd. She attended Martin's Mill High School and then graduated from Texas State Teachers College (University of North Texas) in Denton, Texas where she met the love of her life, Odus Dean Moorman of Gorman, Texas. Bonita and O.D. were married for over 52 years. They settled in Beaumont, Texas where they were blessed with three children, ten grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Bonita dedicated her life to raising her three children as a stay at home mom. Bonita became a resident of Gorman, Texas in 2006. She attended the Gorman Church of Christ where she made many friends and participated in numerous bible studies. She is survived by daughter Karen Lewis of Austin, Texas, son James Moorman and his wife Donna of Richardson, Texas and son Craig Moorman and his wife Jane of McKinney, Texas, grandchildren Eric Pampe, Paige Pampe, Josh Moorman, Meagan Moorman, Anna Moorman, Cole Moorman, Callie Payne, Rachel Lott, Meredith Holguin and Camille Moorman. Bonita was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odus Dean Moorman on August 7, 2006. Service Details.
