Billy Ray Brandon

Billy Ray Brandon passed from this life, Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 at the age of 85, at Odessa Hospital in Odessa, Texas. Bill was born on April 18, 1937 at home in Coleman County, Texas to Melvin A. and Eunice A. Hood Brandon. He was raised and attended schools in Merkel and Santa Anna, Texas. While attending High School he played football for the Santa Anna Mountaineers. After school, he broke and trained horses for a few years. Also he rode in rodeo parades and grand entries which he enjoyed very much. He was a Christian. He married Treva Day July 1958, and they were married 7 years. During this time they had a son, Bryan Ray Brandon on October 1, 1959. They had another son and daughter, Kim Ray and Katrina Brandon born in April 1963. Kim Ray only lived a short while. Bill worked on Oil rigs as a driller for 3 years at various locations. Bill and Treva divorced in 1963. Bill began installing Heating and Air Conditioning units in various Locations. He met the love of his life, Judy Beth Williams, and they were married February 25th, 1966 in Big Springs, Texas. They celebrated 53 years of marriage. Later they moved to Odessa, Texas and Bill owned and operated his own Heating and Air Conditioning Business. Later they had another son, Billy Ray Brandon, Jr. He lived to be 21 years old and passed away in 1990. After Bill's retirement, Bill and Judy loved to travel, they visited many places of interest through the years. Bill was a wonderful loving husband, Father, and grandfather. Also a wonderful loving brother to his sisters, Lillian and Alwyn and brother Don. He will be missed~Rest in Peace~Precious Soul. Survivors-Son-Bryan Ray of Ft. Worth, Texas -Daughter-Katrina of Spring, Texas -Granddaughter-Tawny Rawlinson of Spring, Texas -Sister-Alwyn Muriel Brandon Jacobs of Santa Anna, Texas Also, a number of nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Wife-Judy Beth Williams Brandon, 2 sons- Kim Ray and Billy Ray Brandon Jr. 2 sisters-Avalene Arnetta Brandon and Lillian Delores Brandon Clevenger and Brother Donald Richard Brandon.
