Bertha Lee Bryant (Granny)

January 10, 1924 – May 27, 2026

Forever in our hearts, our precious angel.

Bertha Lee Bryant, 102, of Gorman, passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Bertha was born on January 10, 1924, in Carbon to Barney and Viola Brannon. She was raised in a loving home alongside her siblings and carried those family values throughout her life. She later married Adren Bryant on December 18, 1942, in De Leon. Bertha devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She was deeply devoted to both her family and her faith and was admired by all who knew her for her compassion and generosity.

Bertha was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Gorman, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving others. Her church family was very dear to her heart, and she treasured the friendships and memories made there throughout the years. She later became the leader of “Bertha and the Bees,” a role she cherished deeply and one that reflected her caring spirit and love for bringing people together.

Bertha loved dancing, spending time in the kitchen preparing meals for those she loved, sewing, and playing her organ. She also enjoyed “keeping her chair warm,” a simple pleasure that became one of the many fond and cherished memories shared by her family. She found joy in caring for others and treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strong faith will continue for generations to come.

She is survived by her son, Wesley Bryant; her daughter, Brenda Bradley, and husband Gary; grandchildren, Wayne Warren, Shannon Steward, Leslie Bryant and Ryan, Stephanie Bryant, and Cody Bryant; great-grandchildren, Matt Steward and wife Lily, Austin Burns, Whitney Bryant and Trace, and Adison Bryant; great-great-grandchildren, Lakelyn and Colter; and her nephew, Jackie Manchack, and wife Catherine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters.

Pallbearers: Wayne Warren, Cody Bryant, Matt Steward, Austin Burns, Trace Evans, Scott Keeter, Ryan Dusek, and Mike Warren.

The family appreciates all the love, prayers, and support. They take comfort in knowing Bertha is at peace and surrounded by the love she gave so freely.
